Bear Grylls Paracord Leather Knife Sheath

Bear Grylls Paracord Leather Knife Sheath

I recently purchased a Bear Grylls paracord knife but hated the Kydex Sheath that came supplied with it, it was cheap looking and I found it difficult to remove the knfe from the sheath as it seemed to be very  tight. No doubt it would get easier with wear and I know a lot of people like kydex sheaths but it was not for me.
I do however love the slim profile of  this Bear Grylls Para cord Knife but decided to do some mods on it.
Next up was deciding on what style of Leather sheath to make. I had already decided I wanted something that would be Horizontal carry as this seemed a more comfortable way of carrying a knife.
I didn’t want anything fancy so first off I got a few pieces of scrap leather and made this small compact horizontal sheath.
The main part of the sheath are made up from two pieces of veg tanned leather, one for the belt loop strap and the other folded to hold the knife. An additional piece of leather makes the strap to keep the knife in place (note the elastic added to keep the strap away from the knife blade)
The Sheath was the polished using our natural waxes.
